Placing profile fields in a seprate block

Question about placing profile fields in a seprate block.
I posted this before but  thought i try again and see if someone has a better idea.

The research i did, seem to make this very complicated to place profile fields in a seprate block.. is there not a easy way to do this other then to modify a script. Shouldn't this be a basic configuration option in a social community/dating site script

has anyone seen a mod maybe for this?
Maybe Boonex's, think about putting something like this in there next release?

I found the the modification on a another site(modmysite) but for a none programmer it too much and i can see alot going wrong with it..lol

Am i stuck doing this manually? lol

I think you have a great suggestion as, to me, it is very intimidating to see all those blocks to fill in when first deciding whether to join a site or not. Most sites let you just put in UserName (which as another issue sounds better to me than NickName) and then Password and Email and then click join -- and at least you have your new member. THEN, if profile info can be done on a new page (now or even later) that's much better than being confronted with all those boxes to fill in on see more first get-go.

I'm voting with you for that change! Here-here! and ...

Cheers! -
