Tutorial- Delete Pages created in Pages Builder v6.1.4

posted 24th of February 2009 in . 4 comments.

Ok, we start by having a page that we have created in the Pages Builder
as the picture below shows. The page is called Test Page. As you can also see it contains 2 columns each with 1block in them. To delete this page altogether we need to backout of each of the items that have been set up.

Of course the quickest way to do this is to access your database and delete the page entries, however not everybody is comfortable with playing in the
database. Keep reading and I will give you the simple
instructions on what to do.

number 1

Now, first of all you should open each of the blocks that have been created on the page and choose delete, do this for every block created on the page (No need for the Samples) but including the Inactive blocks that are present on this page. This would leave you with your columns on the page and
no visible blocks.

Ok, now we need to delete the columns as well by clicking on the red X's, leaving you with just one column that is empty.

Now you should either
refresh this page in your browser (F5) or click
on one of the other pages that are in the Pages builder, when the Pages
Builder has refreshed, Wow... where has that page we wanted to delete
gone....

Hope this helps some of you out!

First off, this is really a great idea. Keep your tutorials coming.

And, yes, I finally got to delete the new page I created!

A suggestion: numbering each of the steps (#1, #2 ...) would make the instructions even better. So if anyone gets stuck, easy enough to pinpoint exactly where s/he got derailed.

I know James Tadeo also has an extensive tutorial out at www.boonexnerd.net. Will be checking that out as well.

It's really great to see all these free tutorials to get the rest see more of us up to speed on Dolphin. Thanks, guys! In time, when we have sufficiently boned up on our Dolphin knowledge/expertise, we'll be brave enough to do the same as well!

I somehow created a sticky page. I've removed the blocks, there are not columns, bugger just won't go away. I'll probably just leave it and edit it for use with another item.

It doesn't show up anyplace so it's not really hurting anything other than just bugging me because I *know* it's there living a useless life. :D

Hiho!
Is there a way to delete the classified page? i cant remove all of the inactive blocks and neither delete the page.

Like ladybugn I ended up with a sticky page.

I had to delete each block individually, including those in the inactive blocks before the page would delete.
