You don't need to know PHP to use DolphinPro, but if you do want to know it, here's a good way to start.

DolphinPro is a PHP platform, for the most part. It's incredible how PHP, initially created as a small "hobby' language evolved into a de-facto #1 standard for web-development. It now powers estimated 40% of all websites in the world, including Facebook. So, it would be safe to say that people browse PHP-driven pages most of the time.

So, if you are keen to learn it, perhaps to be able to dive into DolphinPro code and make your own mods, consider starting with this tutorial from Udemy: Beginner PHP Tutorial.

In our experience DolphinPro often becomes a learning "sandbox" for aspiring web-developers. It's a complex system, with lots of typical use-cases, so if you get DolphinPro, you'd be able to build just about anything in PHP.

Good luck!

Dolphin is hands-down one of the best social networking platform.
but when it comes to "paid source" offering there are huge competition in the market
as a product manager what will i choose between Dolphin, buddypress, bitrix etc
now i see the real problem here. Dolphin Cannot compete with buddypress. the "wordpress knowledge" is the game winner there. if its PHP there is always a solution in wordpress. if not then people will look elsewhere. maybe Dolphin can exist in multi see more platform [ROR and Opensource .net]
