It is totally possible to put a swf where you want to do it.

I tried to help Birdtribes on this topic, but after sending him long emails explaining to him my way of doing it (which is the way recommended by Adobe), he chose to use the 'iframe' html tag to accomplish the task. While I'm sure it works, it is problematic.

To see his solution, search 'birdtribes' and flash in the forums.

But I think that the 'object' tag is better than the 'iframe' tag for several reasons, so Campethomedia, see more you should stick with your code (in my opinion).

Did you try hitting the little 'html' button when in admin >basic settings >custom HTML block? A dialogue box should open up that lets you enter the code you've generated.

A side note: I'd set the wmode parameter to 'transparent'. If the .png of the submenu is going to overlap your .swf, that is.
