7 looks more like a step backwards to me. I'm not impressed at all. The menu takes up half the page, ugly design, plus its another singles and cheating spouse site software. All the searches are for single boys and girls... not much for a mature married person to want to visit. There are no 'couple' members on the site nor a search for couples... only men and women. Sure you put the 'single/couple join form up, but thats it..if someone is signed up as a couple, how would you know unless you surfed see more every profile? Looks like you wasted your time on D7 as far as I see.

Don't look at (so far)...

... floating member menu. Still at the early stage of development, this menu will feature AJAX-based Quick-IM, Presence, Friends Tracker, Alerts Tracker, Fast Mail, and more. It can be put on top and can be "frozen" there, by the way.

... OpenID support is still under development

... Google OpenSocial is already in, but not quite in full, so give it some time

... Facebook Apps support is still at the early development stage, so you can't see it

... see more Profile customization is going to be in as well, better than ever but not yet

... Couple Profiles are working now, but still need some thought and time

.. searches: keyword search, people search, quick search (and more planned)

maybe you missed the last 2 lines ^^^^^

Couples concept is not done yet. Along with "Groups" it's being updated now in a big way, so don't get too sad right now (unless you enjoy it ;) ).

Single and couple join isn't the limit you know. Dolphin is very flexible. A new design is just a template away and menus are deletable. I used 6.1.4 to create a wonderful homepage not for people to be friends and not for cheating on their spouse. Couples are seen as couples clearly. It is important to get to see the flexiblity of Dolphin 6 fully before you can even make a comment saying it is a step backward. It clearly isn't.
