I'm sure the blog editor is going to have all the formatting controls you want when D7 is released. I wouldn't panic just yet. It's just a matter if TinyMCE Init.

They probably have some good reason for not having all the editing controls in place at the moment. I'm pretty sure the guys at Boonex aren't going to do something goofy like restrict blog entries to plain text.
