A nice feature would be to have a "State" and "Region" field. Then an option to select a "limit" in the display of members and search of members. So, rather than ALL members on display and search through, it would only display according to the setting of the limit. The member would optionally set Country, or State or Region or City as the "limiter" Then, only the members in that area would be displayed or searched. The map would also only display this area.

That see more way, it would make it much easier for members to interact in their chosen area.

At the moment, if all your members are in one country, and I'd suggest most D7 sites would have members from only one country, the "Browse by Country" and "World map" features are useless.

For dating sites and Events communities, members need a quick way to find other members and events close by...... not have to pick through the masses each time they are looking for someone.

They must be doing something right.... they claim over 35,000 members have organised at least 5,000 events so far !!!!
