My view is that COUPLES should be treated as another gender - so MALES - FEMALES - COUPLES. A single description for couples, not a description for each person but there does need to be separate physical characteristics for each person in the couple. This third gender should by integrated into all functions - search etc. To create couples as groups will isolate them from the mainstream of Dolphin. When people create a profile they need to be able to say "I am a COUPLE looking for a COUPLE or see more I am a FEMALE looking for a COUPLE etc."
Of course our requirement is to have some sexuality fields as well and that these be integrated into member search functions but there are plenty of community sites where couples wish to meet other couples for reasons other than sexual adventure.
I believe that this is the only effective way to properly integrate couples into Dolphin with equal profile function and status to males and females.
If the individuals of a couple wish to have separate profiles then they should create theses separately.
This is the way of all successful websites dealing with couples profiles. Their research and trial and error over many years should not be underestimated nor should it be thought of as "copycat" programming.

SO from my point of view a third gender (COUPLES) is really the only way to approach equal integration of couples into Dolphin.

Anyway that is just what I think !!
