Is Dolphin 7.0 being designed with any of the following parameters:
1. Ability for future 7 upgrades to be dowloaded from boonex in a compressed .exe wizard format which could then be seemlessly uploaded using the .exe wizard (without the requirement for a Boonex software owner to be a developer or programmer to do an upgrade).
2. A protected/integrated addon section so that addon modules that have been installed to a site are not overwritten/deleted or disabled by an upgrade of the see more main software chassis.
3. An itegrated advertising module with the functionality:
- to display small advertising panels/banners within each page, like on facebook
- to allow members to enter their own ads and have control over their ads, like on facebook
- to provide admin with advertising performance stats for each advertising panel/banner e.g. clicks and impressions per day, week, month, year (bearing in mind that advertising is generally the main revenue generator for social networking sites)
4. To replace the 'Builders' section of admin with a page management system:
- Which is simple to operate and navigate around (does not require an owner of the software to be a developer or programmer)
- Which provides the user of the software with page editing tools commonly found in other general software i.e. microsoft software, photoshop etc....
Not much of a harry potter fan myself.
Most larger software houses use upload wizards to manage compressed files for upgrading software.
Just makes the upgrade process uncomplicated and seemless.
