CALTRADE
Sorry JTadeo, one thumbs down vote, though I LOVE the contributions you have made here, which are beyond dispute. I voted down because reading your pitch for yourself makes me think you would have a heavy hand in moderation, and I am not sure that's what this forum needs right now:

"I also understand that some of my decisions may not be popular with everyone... I am of the mindset that members should respect one another and apologize if you are wrong"

This sounds almost guaranteed see more to create drama. Unity has had essentially zero moderation for a long time and has mostly worked. Unfortunately, a few members have abused this by frequently posting personal attacks and obscenities. The solution to this is to simply delete these personal attacks and obscenities as soon as they appear. This will discourage this behavior in the same way that removing graffiti as soon as it appears discourages more graffiti. I would prefer that whoever moderates Unity have a "light hand" and I would prefer that be someone on Boonex staff.

CALTRADE,

Thanks for the kind comment about my tutorials (I do love making them) and I appreciate your what you're thoughts on this.

If I understand what you're trying to say, my reply would be that no one can make anyone apologize.

In my post, I wanted to point out that when a person does apologize, it can lead to better things for those involved. Just my own thinking based on personal experience. At times, an apology can save you a hundred posts to clean up or tend to.

You all have see more your free will to do as you please. However in the Unity forums, you will need to abide by the rules as outlined by BoonEx. That would be my main directive. Just make sure whatever is posted matches with the rules. I really would have no say on the matter for the most part.
