In reply to Thumbs Voting

I really dont think its the voting system myself, its fine as far as i can see, you either dont vote, give thumbs up, or thumbs down. If people get a thumbs down that should be fine, usually though the people tend to say why they dont agree, and to me thats fine also. People should realise if they are going to put out opinions then not everyone may agree with it, thats all part of it though, we cant please all people at all times with our idea's and notions. People are just taking this voting thing see more far too seriously. If you take the negative voting off then people will accuse you of censoring people who dont agree with you, Ebay have done that to some degree with its feedback and to say it didnt go down very well would be an understatement.
This really hasnt anything to do with the voting system, which works well on many many places, its more to do with attitudes, and dare i say it, pandering to ego's. Give me a thousand thumbs down and i wont bat an eye lid.

So long as you believe what you are saying is thought out and correct in your blog, then it shouldn't really matter how many thumbs down you get. For the life of me i really cant see what all the fuss is about now. the site has mainly calmed down, and members are trying to get along, so i cant help feeling that this is being made a bigger deal than it ought to be for the very few members who may do a drive by negative for no reason. Thats life and you cant stop it unless you cover us all in cotton wool.

Tyke
