It's truly a shame that some people, on both sides of a business deal, can act like this. I've set up certain guidelines for my "day job" so I don't get the short end of the stick like you apparently just did. I try to make things as even as possible for all parties but in the end there's always someone out there that's trying to get around things.

True enough that sometimes it's just a case of mis-communication but more often than not it's someone trying to cheat.

I have a certain see more amount of 'ability' with sites but not nearly enough as most. Inevitably I'll need some help with some functionality with my site and will gladly pay for that help. Now from that point of view I'm concerned with finding someone who is reputable and can do what they say they can do.

Sorry you had a bad experience here. I hope it doesn't happen TOO often that it causes those of you out there who are willing to help others to stop.
