This seems to be a mixed list of things both about Unity, and about Dolphin. I do agree with #2 - we had a discussion about that on the forums. People should be able to not just automatically upgrade, be even allow users to select their membership level directly from the join page. I'm always jealous when I see one of those sites where you can seamlessly register, pay and gain access to your account in one session. As someone pointed out in that discussion, without that we are leaving money on see more the table.
