CALTRADE
Victor, you admonished me on my earlier post because I had referenced Zarcon's issues, perhaps not knowing that he and I had exchanged messages, and also not knowing that I HAD installed this beta. I installed it on a server that has legacy php 4.2 programs where the other beta had worked without major issues, but since you didn't tell us the technical requirements had changed this turned out to be a waste of time - it didn't work at all there.

I have now installed this still again on a php see more 5 server and right off the bat am experiencing major problems. In fact, you get that "Possible attack!!!" message others have reported even when you just try to log in (see for yourself if you want- it is at: http://california-business.us).

As you should be able to see from the forums, the number of bugs and problems has increased dramatically with this beta, and people are naturally extremely concerned. It is difficult to see what the advantage is to installing this beta - if it is just to be "good Boonex citizens" I think we have done that already.

No one wants to spend a ton of time with this beta when it is absolutely certain that they will have to destroy their work and will have wasted their time. The people who sit back and do nothing will almost be in a better position than the people who spin their wheels and get more and more frustrated trying to get this eight beta to work - for no real reason, and for no advantage to them.

You guys can fix this situation. All you have to do is announce, and really commit to an upgrade script from this beta to the next beta or release candidate. This would make 90 percent of your members happy again in one fell swoop, and we would be on the same team again, instead of working at odds with each other.

Your constant whimpering and yammering about Beta to Beta upgrades is really quite nauseating. Why don't you give it a rest? In spite of Boonex stating again, and again, and agsin, that there will be no upgrades between Betas, you still think your incessant sobbing will get you what you want. The reality is, most people around here would rather they spend the time more wisely.... like on stabilizing the product.
