I've been working with Dolphin since Version 6.0 and found out that whether or not you have any patience, you are going to spend some considerable time playing with code if you are going to get your site to look anything like you want it too. It;s a learning process, but it's definitely worth the effort and beats the hell out of trying to do it from scratch.
