I honestly don't know where you get the time for all these "War and Peace" length posts Mydatery- this is actually one of the shortest I have seen. How is your community coming along? - you can, of course, implement all these suggestions on your own site. In general, there are two kinds of members here: those who's main objective is to build their own community and try to help others in the same boat, and those who provide some kind of support services. I've been here a few years see more now, and I can tell you that most of the "drama" here has come from the later. I'm not a psychologist, but I can also tell you that when someone really goes over the top it also seems to follow a patten. They are often very smart technically, but they get an overblown sense of their own importance to this community - and when someone calls them on it, they go crazy.

I also don't share your opinion that this site needs more "moderators" - unless they know how to act with some restraint. When Boonex first selected some moderators they immediately went out killing threads and telling people that they should "move on" from discussing certain topics - but in some cases didn't apply the rules they wanted to enforce to themselves. One guy Boonex selected had never contributed a thing and had never built a community, but the first thing he did was censor a totally harmless blog post of mine. As far as I know, that is the only thing he ever did here - he had a grand total of seven posts. The moderators here should limit their activity to providing technical support, and deleting obvious spam.
