I've got a better idea - how about I give out something like username.yourfavouritesite.com domains for free, and provide each user with ALL of the tools that they would need in relation to social networking.

With a single login users can get access to their own dedicated blog, their very own photo gallery, with it's own built in slidehow, a personal video gallery where videos can be shared with others. A place where they are able to create and run their own special interest groups, to be able see more publicise and run public events, take part in community discussions about subjects close to their own hearts, and read targeted news and articles related to exactly what they are into. Hell why not even throw in some video chatrooms where they can talk to other like minded people, an advertising section selling only stuff that they are likely to want to buy, and wrap it all within one single interface - an interface that they can communicate with directly from their desktop, or should they be away from their computer their IPhone. And all of this specifically related to their key passion, whether that's football, dating, skateboarding or whatever - no need to trawl through pages of unrelated crap, about stuff that they are not into - only content related to what they want to see is presented to them.

The internet of the future???
