There are a handful of regular members on Unity who provide the majority of the help (and no I'm not one of them).
If we lose a few of these members, the forums may end up drying out, and it will be a lot more difficult for the rest of us to get answers.

I'm not saying that the rules shouldn't apply to these members. However, I think it would be in everybody's best interest to keep these members at least partly happy (Once again, I am not one of these members. I'm one of the guys who is see more always waiting for one of them to help me.)

That might mean we have to let a few sarcastic or sketchy comments slip by every now and then. We don't want to kill all the fun.

However, I do agree 100% with censoring slanderous remarks about the company and software we all love and use. These need to go. If they have a question, concern or issue, they can post it in a more constructive and pleasant way.

I agree, there are members that are generally helpful, but may sometimes engage into fights or just complains. I don't' see this as a serious problem, since in most cases we can communicate the issue to settle it, even if their posts have to be removed.
