@DosDawg: Thanks, I got the messages — it's mid-week and I'm pretty swamped with work right now, I'll skim through them as soon as I get a chance and bounce some thoughts back. Overrall I stand by my take that this is primarily a software issue, not a server configuration issue.

You may be able to fine-tune your server so as to keep the process from going totally out of control, but this doesn't really address the actual issue, which is in the bloated process inside Dolphin itself causing this see more to begin with. Would be grand if someone officially recognized it (because really -- just look over the code, it's a common sense observation that it's bloated), and tried to fix the root issue itself.

In Finnish, "Munin" means "I am laying eggs", and also "I am screwing up". That's the depth of my exposure to Munin, really, so no comments there.
