I'm eager to hear a resolution to this as well. My host just contacted me about my site having very high resource usage and if this is expected then I need to purchase a different package. My site hasn't even Launched yet and I only have 3 users helping to test it. This high resource issue is very concerning and disappointing.
My host is one of the Top Providers listed and they suggested shutting down modules and loading 1 at a time to find the culprit. I guess I'll start with the Messengers.
I'll see more check this thread again periodically for updates.
