Just to ease everybody's mind, is it safe to assume that once 7.1.0 is released, that there will be an upgrade patch from 7.0.9 directly to 7.1.0 ? I would certainly hope so. It would make zero sense to force people to go through all the intermediate steps, if all they wanted to do is upgrade one production version to the next.

Yes, we can create some type of cumulative patch from 7.0.9 directly to 7.1.0.
