Upgrade 6.0.5-6.1.2 resets to default all settings. So you should again go to admin panel->moderation settings and unchecked option "Automatic profile confirmation without Confirmation Email"

Does patch from 6.1.1 to 6.1.2 reset to default all settinges too?
