Im having a really irritating issue of when i create an external link within an event post that it automatically adds my domain name to the beginning of it when i click save on the event post. which in turn breaks the actual link i have added.
This has only occurred since i transferred the site to a new server, please can someone advise?
Regards
Chris
All for one and one for all....ah sod it who am i kidding! |
I would check the files since I don't see why moving to a new server would change the behaviour of the code; however, I have to add that I am not using the Events module so have no idea of the normal behaviour. Geeks, making the world a better place |

I think the issue doesn't depend on your server at all. It appears because of a browser. Try to post full link including HTTP(S). For example, you need to post http://www.boonex.com instead of www.boonex.com.

I've been having a somewhat similar problem the last couple days trying to add a link into a html block for the home page. I add the path then when I click save it just breaks the link that I've just added. Iv'e tried with and without "http:\\".
Would anyone have any ideas?

You should be adding http:// (not http:\\)

ChrisKendall_VA,
I don't have no idea if this will solve your problem but in my case that I mentioned above it did.
Every time I tried to insert a link into a html block it would break the link as soon as I clicked on save.
Today I ran out of options so I replaced or upgraded tinymce to tinymce 4 offered by AndrewP and it worked for me.
Good luck...
