New Matches block has been added.

Firstly love the mod.

I am trying to add new parameters.

1. I created a predefined list
2. added a new profile field
3. Selected options in the 2 test users

but when I select an option from the list in the match preferences I get a database query error.

Any idea what I am missing?

 You should have received details of the error in your bug report email. Please forward that email to my support email (check the readme.txt that comes with the module for my email)

I'm creating a PHP block for certain pages where i want to show the amount of new matches. Do you have any example code we can use in a php block to pull the data we need. 

Now we placed this example code:
echo 'You have <span>3</span> new matches';
Instead of "3" we want to place the amount of new matches.

How can i link to the module file to get the data in the PHP block? It's my first PHP block i create so i don't know if there's a tutorial to link to certain files with all the code or if/how i can place the data directly in the PHP block.

In the preferences block it's possible to display the Age as Profile field the in list. There you can select the age range of the matches you want to see.
If members set these age range they also see members with another age. Changing the range has no effect with the matches you see. Also when i select a custom field ( we created ) it's empty and only shows empty. When i want to save i get an database error.

You have the login credentials of our site. Can you take a look asap? 

A nice add-on would be if the profile matcher works with the credits module. For example a member could pay credits to place them "higher" in the match results. So if he / she wants to be noticed by more people he / she can pay credits.

BTW. I have still problems with the issue i posted a few days ago.

Its only if the proximity field is "yes", I have a data base error

Firstly, ensure that you have the latest version (2.0.3).

If you do not then apply the patches you are missing.

If you have the latest version, please re-upload the modules/modzzz/match/classes folder.

NOTE : If distance matching functionality is needed, you must have the default Boonex Zip Code Search module installed and "Enable ZIP code search" must be turned on in the Admin Settings for the Zip Code Search module.

I have a question about the order of the matches. Now it seems like the order is oldest - latest. We like that it's latest - oldest. In that way you see everytime new matches instead that you have to scroll to the bottom.

How can we achieve this? I searched the files in the classes folder, but didn't find any line of code to change the order of the matches.

On what basis are you considering a match as new ? This is kind of tricky because the matches can change not just based on new members joining but also based on a member changing their match preferences.

Mmmm... good question. Tricky one indeed. Let me discuss this and than I comeback on it later today.

Do you have a code to include the verifiy module in the profile matcher module? So that a member is verified you see an icon.

Like:

If we include this in the search_profiles_ext.html file you see that on all the profiles ( also the ones that aren't verified ), so I think we need to include a code that checks it?

can i add languages after installation?

Yes, after you upload the language files just recompile the languages for the module in the Admin Panel.

how can i hide my matches from others to view 

i want that only me (at least by default) can see my matches in profile page

When you view the blocks on your Profile page, you will see a key icon in the upper left corner on each block. Click on it to set the privacy for that particular block.

hi, 

1. why is the number counter red bubble  is always showing even when i have already saw my matches?
2. i added some new fields and there are not shown, only the select box with value.
3. can i set mail to people disabled by default unless they set it on to receive notification by mail.
4. in the module main pages there are 2 blocks with same name "MEMBERS THAT MATCH XXX"  and the results are similar . its suppose to show my matches and new matches.

Right.. same issue... once the user views them, there should no longer be an alert bubble.

I agree. Adding language string, recompiling language, clearing cache.. nothing is working here. :/

Matches are considered "New" if they occurred between the previous time the member logged in and the current login session, so they are only evaluated upon login. The status of "New" matches will remain for the present browsing session and will change when the member logs in the next time. It was found that if this check for "New" is done every time the page was loaded, it had performance issues on sites with large number of members.

Ok. based on that, is not possible to at least 'clear' the notifications?

We dont need to check for new, especially if it hits our resources.  But clearing the the notifications wouldnt have to be checking for new.

As it stands right now, it makes our site look broken because all other notifications clear when checked, but not these. You and I both know its not broken, but it 'appears' that way and that gives us a very negative look.

And any thoughts on the screenshot I shared with you? It seems yzisano and I both are experiencing this phenomenon.

Yesterday I send Modzzz a personal message, because I had also a urgent question. Auto reply is that he's on holiday until May 4th. 

An update has been made to the mod to solve the missing language key issue in some instances.

Re-upload the modules\modzzz\match\classes folder.

in match home page, the box header _modzzz_match_block_new_members is not translated to english

its stays as is while other are in English.

i checked with language setting and there is a key with translation

how can i fix it?

 Go to your Admin panel and clear cache.

i cleared the cache already.

still the same

Checked your site. It is showing that you did not apply patch 2.0.4. I have added the missing language key but you still need to apply the patch.

I have a problem with the module on my site. For some reason the new matches aren't working. Therefore the member menu item is also empty. Could you check maybe? On your demo site everythings works fine.
I send the login credentials for another question this week. They are still valid.

4 days ago I had problems with the performance of this module. I installed it freshly ( latest version ) and from the start ( before custom work on other modules / template ) it doesn't show the new matches. Could you please take a look asap? You have the login info in your inbox from a previous message.

Once again 6 days later, but still no word from you! I have a broken module that was installed on a freshly 7.1.6 and wasn't working from the beginning. Could you please look at it and contact us?

I am on leave until the 14th. Any I looked at your site and I see no profile that qualified as a new match for the login you gave. New matches are profiles that have joined since your last login.
