slider help and which is best

hello everyone, Im trying to add a slider to my site.  I had a free slider called iview slider that was awesome but ive lost the software and its not available anymore. SO, im wondering which slider to go with that has the options I need.

I see a slider on here called silent slider bundle and I do not see that the vendor says if i can add links.  not the actual image sliding but separate text links in a box.  so i can add more than one link.

any advice in the right direction to the best slider would be great.

and yes i have messaged the vendor, no reply yet, i guess im impatient.

Most sliders are html and js based so to add more links or hrefs should not be hard.
you had a look at this: http://www.boonex.com/m/silent-slider-bundle

Pretty cheap but if you have custom template watch out as this made for default template.
I had it but i never got it to work as i wanted with my custom template.

Look at this: maybe this is more for you.

For WINDOWS: http://wowslider.com/download/win083njo0awd

For MAC: http://wowslider.com/download/mac45ir231wgd

While I am sure WOW sliders might be OK for some uses their use of placing keywords and whatnot to get the search engines to return them when they are not what you want is rather irritating; I really want to report them to google.  You don't want the WOW slider.

As I stated in a private email to you, if you can give me some time I will see either why there is a conflict with ivew and the member bar or find a replacement for you.  I am going to be out of the office for most of the day today.  There may be some good market modules for a silder but be sure to contact the vendor to make sure it will do what you want to do.  The internet is also full of free and paid jquery silders, some are better than others.

Basically with a jquery slider you add the necessary javascripts to the header through the templates, and a bit of code that will trigger the slider on a particular HTLM tag, usually a division that you place on the page.

iview was working with Dolphin 7.1.4; I know because I installed it.  So I am wondering why it stopped working for your current installation; why there is now a conflict with the member bar that was not there before.  However, since the vendor of ivew has stopped supporting the slider, it may be time to replace it with something else.

Geeks, making the world a better place
