Did i miss the plot? or has boonex gone mad?

Well, considering they are two different places and both offer a place to post messages then sure why not? It isnt hurting ANYTHING for someone to ask questions here, or on Expertzzz.com. It also doesnt hurt anything for someone to post information about a script, addon, tool, enhancement or any mod for Dolphin on a site that... is about Dolphin. I think you are rambling just to ramble and are worrying too much over nothing.

Sammie ... I agree with you completely. There seems to be a bunch of spam flammers on the blog here and not any useful posts. The boys at Boonex need to get a handle on this before it crashes.

That is a small part of the Description of Boonex Unity! It is a Blog Section of Boonex.com, and is designed to allow people to talk to one another about site issues, trading of help/scripts, promote ADDONS for Dolphin etc. Yes I understand people are posting ads/blogs trying to sell Computer parts and Memory and that is pretty annoying but if it is regarding Dolphin/Boonex then who cares. If I post something on here about Dolphin or if I post it on Expertzzz.com's Forum it makes no difference. They both are places to get in contact with people who know how to help. If Boonex didn't want us to have a place to BLOG or Seek assistance they wouldnt have set up Unity.

There is a little bit of chaos. I aggre,there should be one place to post issues and a place to communicate with other Dolphin users. As of know, we have the blogs, expertzz and even boonex.us, i notice there are some discussions on boonex.us forums. Too many places to go though to find and communicate with other users or even with boonex.

don't forget, there's 2 sides to expertzz, one is none contributer side and there is the contributer side. i paid assuming i'll have faster responts to issues but this is not the case. i have postings in the contributer side that no one ever looks at. kind depressing, when your trying run a site and can't find answers to basic problem. I posted same problems on 3 different sites with no results.

I count total of 4 places to communicate with other dolphine users not including 2 third party sites that found who support dolphin as well..

we need one place.
we need increased support. I'm even willing to pay and have but maybe boonex can revisit the pay per support.

Its hard to run a social community site when you have facebook and myspace round the corner.

i agree with sammie, there shold be just the one forum for questions and answers, but if someone were to post a blog or something on a different site asking a question, who is to stop that person? then there would be the added worry for people as they would wonder whether they are allowed to post such questions elsewhere apart from the forums, also, who would pay a salary for the person whos job it is to remove questions from wrong areas and transfer them to the correct areas of the many sites....

Yes, Sammie, you're right. It's gone a little wild and chaotic. Fraud, spam, duplicate posts, no riles, etc.

Good news is that we are now putting off almost everything else to address this problem and we already have some advances.

Today I'll blog about the plan.

And.. as far as Forums and Blogs are concerned - there's a big difference, but sadly some people just don't get it.

Main purpose of Forum is discussion/collaboration/distributed input.

Main purpose of Blog is to provide accounts of events, news and information.

Comments are killing that difference... So if you want to understand the difference better, just think of "forums" and "blogs without comments".

But on the serious side...thanks for pointing out all those "mistakes"...after all "cheer leading", flattery and compliments are only slightly above insults and flames in the hierarchy of helping matters where as constructive criticism is something which really is a creative force. ;-)

I don't think there are any real people at Boonex. I've never gotten any response from any of their email addresses I've written to.. I think the whole thing is automated by one guy who spends 99.9% of his time fishing or at the beach. he created Expertzz so he wouldn't have to deal with people himself, he just lets everyone fumble over themselves...

Boonex, just hire sammie if you want boonex to survive. I agree with sammie that time has come for some order on multiple and cross posting. I am going crazy.
