 What do most people think about the latest patch? I am getting ready to apply it but have slight concerns from some of the feedback I have read. Of course I understand that more people will speak out about a bad experience that they would a good one but was hoping to hear what those that have taken the big step of applying it really think. Is there anyone out there that has a paying site got anything to say about their upgrade 7.0.1 to 7.0.2? How about someone with a free site then? lol |
I done it with minimal impact. I have alot of mods installed on my site so I had to tweet a few that had core file changes to them. But other than that, it was pretty simple. Nothing to see here |

No serious issues, just a couple of mods we'd made without noting the original location of needed to be reapplied as they were found. Nothing remotely disastrous and our site remains live (click here). Custom profile fields remained intact here although one of them (we had named 'State' was stripped of its title, so this had to be replaced in the profile fields builder section - no big problem). |
Thanks for all your feedback guys. Much appreciated. It gave me the balls to do my upgrade this morning and it all went well. I did backup the database and files just in case. My custom profile fields remained intact. Only really had one small issue with a modification I made to show what every members' membership level was in the extended view of the member browse page. That modification was 99% ok. Just had to repeat one change. No biggy. Anyway, so far so good. There are some obvious things that should have been changed that were not such as displaying the level of membership of each member in their profile page. Oh well, there is always 7.0.3.
