Adding Code To Footer

I have a 6.1.4 Free Install and it seems to be working just fine.

My problem is I use a script that inserts Hover Ads linked to keywords on every page.

In order for this script to work its got to be loaded with each page, so I normally would insert two lines

of code into the "footer" file.

The two lines of code are:

<script type="text/javascript" src="proxy.php?proxy_url=http://www.garysoddstuff.com/adspurt/track.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="proxy.php?proxy_url=http://www.garysoddstuff.com/adspurt/style.js"></script>

And, when they are inserted in the footer.html file it works just fine, but the "Join" page quits working.

You can fill out the page and it does a field check when you hit submit, but it does not submit. It will just sit

there.

You can see this script in action on my Blog http://marketingsoftwaregroup.com/wp

Just look for any double underlined words and hover over the word.

Does anyone know of another file that is loaded with each page besides footer, and I've already tried header and that doesn't work unless I'm inserting the lines in the wrong place.

Any suggestions, or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Gary

I sent this question to Boonex Support who reported back that the code I was inserting somehow broke java which is no big secret, but they suggested a FireFox plugin to help find out how it was being broken.

The plugin is Firebug and is here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/addon/1843

I may look into this more someday, but for now the join.php page is the only page I've found that has a problem with the code so I went with another script that is working. It creates links from a list of keywords you have choosen.

You can see it on my site: http://marketingsoftwaregroup.com/dolphin  and the script is here:

http://marketingsoftwaregroup.com/products/ALG/index.html  is called Affiliate Link Generator.
