Admin internal email to all

OK, I know there is a Mass Mailer in the Admin panel to send external email, but is there a way for the Admin to send internal mass mail to members? That is, they would have to log into the site to read the message.

Also, for some of us the Mass Mailer doesn't seem to be working.  How to you get their email addresses from the PhpAdmin so that I can use an external email program?  Where do I look?  I am not a techie guy, so please give instructions (smile).

I don't know if there is a mod for this, but it sounds like a good idea - i.e. private message to all members.

I was thinking of something even simpler - messages from admin that are sent to the site member inboxes, just like any other message they would receive from another member.
