You were not clear on the issue; now we know you are having a server issue.   First tell us a little bit about the server you are using; shared hosting, dedicated server, vps, etc.  The message said that you don't have permission to run crontab; crontab is what runs cron jobs on your server.  When you set up Dolphin you have to set up a cron job to run the cron.php script that handles running the cron jobs set in the database.

Hello,

first thank you for your efforts !!!

FOREWORD:

I've two installations on the CPanel account "seximper":

One working script (Dolphin 7.1.6 works fine)
http://www.seximperium.net/files/

And one testing script (New Dolphin 7.2.0 script with that issures)
http://www.seximperium.net/de/

I'm using HFW VPS Server with (full root access):
CENTOS 5.11 i686 virtuozzo – server WHM 11.50.0 (build 30)
Easy Apache v3.30.5
PHP Version 5.4.44

Admin Tools:
http://www.seximperium.net/de/__support_pics/sreenshoot-admin-tools.jpg
ISSURE:You (nobody) are not allowed to use this program (/usr/bin/crontab)
See crontab(1) for more information

Cron settings in CPanel:
http://www.seximperium.net/de/__support_pics/Cronjob.jpg
Seems to be correct

Configure PHP and suEXEC:
http://www.seximperium.net/de/__support_pics/Configure-PHP-and-suEXEC.jpg
Seems to be OK

PHP Info:
http://www.seximperium.net/de/__support_pics/apache2handler.jpg
ISSURE: User/Group nobody(99)/99 ??? Maybe that's the reason why all uploaded photos will be set automaticly to the owner NOBODY 99. These photos and avatars are not visible.

URL: http://www.seximperium.net/de/
USER: testuser
PASS: testpassword

Try the following aktions:

1. Try to set avatar (nothing happens)
But when you reload the avatar page, you see manny selected avatars (but NOT displaying)

2. Try to upload images.... it's the same issure ????
All uploaded photos will be stored correctly on the server BUT WITH the owner NOBODY 99 ???

I do not know how to continue....  Whats is going on here ???

If Apache is running under owner nobody; then I suppose the owner of the files should be nobody.  By the way, CentOS 5 is a bit old.  Crontab is probably running under owner root.  Check to see what the settings are for the cron job itself.

When you look at the actual Dolphin system files using FTP who does it show is the owner? Like if you look at member.php who is showing as the owner and group?

Also, I think you're correct.. If you're running suexec I think PHP should show as that and not "nobody". This might help:

Hello again,

all files and folders have: Owner=seximper, Group=seximper (seems to be OK)

BUT...

all files in cache folder and in cache_public have: Owner=nobody, Group=nobody (WHY???)

http://www.seximperium.net/de/__support_pics/cache.jpg

http://www.seximperium.net/de/__support_pics/cache_public.jpg

AND...

all uploaded pictures (avatars & photos) have: Owner=nobody, Group=nobody (WHY???)

http://www.seximperium.net/de/__support_pics/avatar-images.jpg

So, it's fact that all files created by the server(!) or uploaded, have owner/group NOBODY ???

I've no idea..... I despair...

I don't run Apache; the Apache people need to come in.  My guess is that these files, photo uploads, are created through the webserver, Apache, and Apache is running with owner/group nobody/99; therefore, the files are created with the group/owner nobody/99.

Or with nobody/nobody as owner/group.
