BUG: Block

When you Block a user in D7, the only thing you block is private letters.. The user can STILL access your page, write on your wall etc etc..

Can this please be fixed ASAP! It's VERY irritating that my members can't block people they don't wish to talk to.

The block should do a "total block" meaning that you can't even access the page. OR - If you can access the page that you can't do anything. No typing on the wall, no private msg, no guest book msg, NOTHING!

Please make a ticket so that we have this one done for 7.0.1

Really highly doubt they will do it for 7.0.1, that's really only for defect issues and not enhancements.  You can probably get it listed for 7.1, go put a post in the bugs section and bump it till a dev puts it on trac as any bug reports here will get ignored.

Well, IMO it IS a bug. Block don't work as it should. Block means Block, not "stop IM me but u can do anything else"

I'm not arguing with you, I'm telling you the reality of when you can expect to see anything done about it.  However posting in this forum will never get any attention for the issue.  You need to post in the BUGS section for dolphin and not in here.

If you cannot find where to post then go here: http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/forum/Dolphin-Bug-Reports-0.htm and make a post and see if a dev will add it.

Regarding this trouble let's specify behaviour of blocking person. Example:

user 'A' blocks user 'B'. So by this ticket user 'B' can't see profile page of user 'A'. But, but! should user 'A' loose the possibility to see profile page of user 'B'? If yes, then it is way which will use 'A' for his revenge :-) user 'B' will not have possibility to block user 'A'.

But if blocking of users will be mutual then users will not have a chance to make reconcile.

Any thoughts will be welcome! But remember - simple solutions will be applied for 7.0.1, more complex - for 7.1 only.

How does a member unblock someone they have previously blocked?

Please go into the "Avtivity" button. You can find it up in the menu under the "black button". Inside there you can remove block lists, friends etc.. :)
