Banner placement question

I am wanting to place a banner below the sub-menu but above the breadcrumbs. But I don't what the banner to appear on the home page where there isn't a sub-menu. Which file do I need to edit? Where in that file don I need to edit?

Where are the instructions on how to edit templates?

Open the templates\base\_sub_header.html find and move to you needed position this code line : <bx_injection:banner_top />
