Deactivate Safe Mode

Hey guys, I just tried to install Dolphin, I copied the files on my webspace via ftp and got the message "deactivate safe mode." I tried to change the access level for the files, but for the 'directories' and 'ray' files I couldn't change the rights (for the other ones it worked.)  I also do not know how to turn off the php safe mode because I do not have a php.ini file, only a htaccess file. Is there any way to solve this problem, or can it be that I cannot install dolphin on my webspace because I just rented it and don't have full rights etc.? Thank you for your help.

Ask your hosting company if they will set safe mode to off.  If they won't, you will just need to find a different host.

Hopefully your web host will be able to help you out. They will have to turn PHP Safe Mode off.
