I’ve been using Dolphin since 2013 and over the years I bought many modules from the market. In 2025, I decided to bring my Dolphin community back online for a metaverse-focused project using Dolphin 7.4.2. I can’t move to UNA right now because my budget has already gone into third-party modules—and unfortunately, many of those modules were never updated for 7.4.2. I also tried contacting the developers, but most never replied.
So I started upgrading and improving things myself, and I’ve had great results so far:
- Customized the Boonex Wall to support unified posts like Twitter (text + media + links together), including multiple uploads in one post.
- Added a hashtag system.
- Updated the IBDW Groups cover to support newer features (now used on Modzz club pages too).
- Built my own modules and a sidebar menu.
- Customized Modzz Credits to connect with virtual-world currency, including a wallet system.
- Customized Modzz Banner Ads to display banner on wall after each 10 Posts, and work with partner websites and external publishers.
