FATAL ERROR on installation of 6.1.1 - help

HI Guys

Just decided to buy the ad free version of 6.1.1 as 6.1 worked beautifully for me(after weeks of hassle with 6.0)...

You know the saying "if it aint broke - don't fix it" = I wish I had left well alone :(

I keep gettin the following error on install -

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 46080 bytes) in /home/sites/ecofriendz.com/public_html/templates/base/scripts/BxBaseIndex.php on line 803

Had a quick look at line 803 which says - <a href="{$sNickName}" class="bottom_text">.....which I dont think has anything to do with the error message above...

Any ideas as I cant get past this page..

Many Thanks

Belinda

Ask your host to increase the buffer memory limit in php.ini. If you have VPS you can do that.

Thanks for the help Prav...but I simply created a new php.ini file in notepad and added the line.....  memory_limit=256M increasing the memory size to 256M then uploaded it to the public_html folder..works like a dream..Good stuff all this learning..

You are welcome. You can add that in php.ini in your server though SSH also
