Flash Depreciation Guidelines?

I tried a few forum searches but did not find any info on what to do with Flash support being retired with the major browsers.

If there's a thread already, mind posting the link here?  If not, anyone know the scoop?

I read that too, but that time far away.

I'm not aware of Flash being "retired". Discouraged? Somewhat. The most I've seen is Firefox making Flash click-to-play by default, which Safari already does in some cases. BoonEx should be working on HTML5 replacements for the Flash apps, but it will be some time before Flash is completely dead (edit: and to be clear, I'm looking forward to that day). That said, I haven't seen actual development of these replacements so far.

Edit: In regards to Flash being completely blocked in some browsers, that was because of a zero-day. In Firefox at least, it's back to normal with the latest update from Adobe.

I think the timeline people wanting to distance from Flash is accelerating.  Stuff like this doesn't help:

It's pretty official.  Flash is pretty much the walking dead.

Maybe I should ask this:  What does Dolphin use that is Flash based?

 - One of the uploader options - no big deal to not use that

- Simple Chat which kinda sucks.  But let's say that's not installed.  What else?

The Flash uploader is replaced in Dolphin 7.2. The only other issue are the Flash apps: chat, messenger (not the simple messenger, which sits in the member menu), board, and video/audio recorders (and photo shooter). So the chat needs to be rewritten, and so does the messenger (much like the simple messenger, but with audio/video support). The recorders also need HTML5 replacements. Board is dead.
