Forum not working

ok i am kinda at a stand still with this one... when you click on forums weather it be in the site or the admin panel i get this message:

I think it might have something to do with my template maybe but everything else works fine plus it does the same when i change it back the default, so i thought i would run it but some of you that might have had this problem before.

This has been answered quite a few times here in the forums. You can actually search for the same name you gave to this forum post. 'Forum not working'

well i have tried a few things i seen in the forums.. no luck. I wish I could merge a smf forum to dolphin. :(

ok thanks that worked for me... i thought i had tried that already.. maybe i missed something.. but how do i get rid of the annoying brackets [L][Topics]] <--- like that? haha

You need to compile the language. You can do this from the 'Manage Forums' area. At the top right corner you will see the compile:en box. Click that. You may need to refresh the page once the language has been compiled to see the changes
