Groups: 404 When trying to access its forum

Version 7.0.2

Create New Group: Check.

Try to click on the group's forum link: Error 404.

I see that there is no forum created when making a group, nor is there a selection to be chosen when creating the group.

Forums module has been installed/created, regular forums are working.

I did notice something:

This is the link that shows when trying to access the group forum:

http://mysite.com/forum/groups/forum/Dolphin-7-0.htm

But yet, a standard forum link looks like: (that works)

http://mysite.com/forum/forum/General-Chatter-2010-07-07-0-0.htm

Am I missing something?

My .htaccess is functional.

Any suggestions?

After browsing around elsewhere, I encountered some others who have the same issue. Apparently its how the rewrites are done in the htaccess file.

Has anyone the way to fix this?

SOLVED!

I needed to add the rewritebase and path to my .htaccess that resides in the forum folder.

Like So:

RewriteBase /forum

Forums for stores, groups, and everything else is working fine now.
