How can non-members view uploaded files on public pages?

I've created links to files on pages which are publicly accessible but unfortunately when non-members try to click on them access is denied.

Here are the two links to files I've tried using:

Access is denied even though files have their Download property set to Public (see attached image).

Does anyone know how to enable non-members to view uploaded files on publicly accessible pages?

Thanks!

You need to change the settings in the 'non-member' membershiplevels. Look through the options in Admin Panel> Settings> Membership Levels

Put checkmarks in the view videos, etc. then click enable at the bottom.

Nothing to see here

Zarcon,

You need to change the settings in the 'non-member' membershiplevels. Look through the options in Admin Panel> Settings> Membership Levels

Put checkmarks in the view videos, etc. then click enable at the bottom.

Thanks for responding.

Since these are files (not videos, sounds, etc), I focused on putting check marks next to these two non-member actions:

  • files download
  • files view

As I mentioned in my original post, I placed these two links in a public page:

Farthest I got was viewing the file page (see attached image), by checking the files view action, but in this case there's no button to download the file.

Using the file download link in a public page results in access denied, even if the files download action is checked.

Even tried enabling every single non-member action didn't get me any closer. Once again the security/access model has stymied me since things don't often work as I expect they would. =(

Have you been able to get this to work successfully?

Thanks!
