How do I add French as an option to my site?

I want to add the French language option to my site. Does anyone have any advice or suggestion that might help in that regard?

You can either purchase a translation from the market, or translate the language file yourself. On the language settings page (administration, settings, languages) there should be an option to import/expect languages. If you purchased a language from the market, you will find yourself with a PHP file that you must upload through this page. If you wish to translate the language file yourself, export the English language file and edit it locally, then once done, upload it as a new language.
