Install Problems

Hi All,

After downloading Dolphin I'm having some problems to get it installed. First I had the Error 500 by just trying to open /install/index.php, but through help on this site, I got that working. I can enter data on a couple of pages but if I get to the 'Configuration' page and press next, then I get the Error 500 again. Any Idea ?

My setup:

2 different servers with Windows 2003 Server (Sorry my Linux knowledge is not sufficient)

- 1 with Apache and PHP where Dolphin is installed

- 1 with a dedicated MySQL server installed with the database for Dolphin

(connection between these servers works ok, so I'm still looking at the Dolphin files)

Thanx Ron

Got a little further today.

Look into the apache errorlog and found mb_substr is not supported by my PHP setup.

Changed mb_substr to substr in .... install/index.php (3 times)

Now it gives another error in the apache log:

Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in ... install/index.php on line 1760

Ideas anyone ?

Well, it's good that I have the Ideas ....

The execution time is availible in PHP, an since I used a dedicated server it just took a little longer for the database to complet.
