Locate IP address of a specific user

We have one rather persistant user who keeps adding him/herself as 'Admin Team' or 'Admin' or 'Moderator' or using words of our site URL. Where can I locate the IP of this user? I will then be able to at least ban that IP from joining again. More elegantly, a way to limit the nickname allowable words would be more ideal but this only seems possible via a third-party module... it seems like it should be a basic core component.

Download Deanos Tools, it is free and it allows you to see each users IP.

Then you can block that IP directly in your server firewall.

Most IP are now dynamic IP, so you will have to keep doing it, but at least it will give you some days rest.

Try the Free nickname filter by Esase

You can block various names from being used when someone signs up.
