Major SPAM Issues From Unknown Source

Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but we've had our site shut down a number of times in the past couple of weeks due to e-mail spam that is being generated from some unknown party.

Someone is able to write to our server to run scripts that sends out tens of thousands of e-mails each day.  This of course is overloading our server and causing our hosting company (www.hostforweb.com) to suspend our site, leaving us dead in the water.

Has anyone else had this problem.  We've been running www.ClubZooey.com for about a month and have had one issue after another.

We're running the stock install of version 6.1.2 that was professionally installed by BoonEx staff.  We are using HFW because it's what BoonEx recommends.  The support on HFW has been pretty good, but there still isn't a resolution.  I'm paying for a VPS... and we paid for our license to own Dolphin and Ray and we still have issues like this.  We're lucky to have our site up and running for more than 5 days before it gets shut down because of these spamming e-mails.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Hostfor web have their Register_globals turned on which is the root cause of your problems and a security issue which has been discussed on here over the past week. You need a new host.

cheers

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
