Need expert advice on this one

I thought it was over but I was ooooooh so wrong. So I go into my administration area to see how we were going to set up our articles for our site. One of the areas I changed over was the news module. I changed the "News" module over to the "resource" module.  I made sure to change the permalink and the uri over to resources, so the URL would say the same as the tab. Everything worked out perfectly. But when I went into my administration area, and clicked on the "resources" module that used to be called the "news" module; I was not only taken to a page that said "news module" doesn't exist." But I was also taken to a page that consisted of my default template. This is sooooo wrong. I'm not even suppose to be taken to a page like that when in the admin area. So what is it that I need to do?  I can't submit any so called "new"-"resource" articles because I can't even get to the correct template What do I need to edit and or change? Once again I know it's something soo simple Can someone please guide me in the right direction with this?

Perhaps you need to change the URI of the module in the administration menu builder (located at the top)?
