New column in news.php

I want to add a new column into the news.php, because when you open news page, it is very clean, just news. I want to add new column (it can be edited through news.php), but dont really know how to do it. Any ideas to get a good start?

What I want to do is to make news system like this:

Only admin can make news (from adm panel), but I want users would be able to comment them. Any suggestions? Like make articles section to news, or use blogs to news.

Or maybe there are some modifications to make news commentable?
