Hey anybody??? |
Can you verify that they're in the directory? Also, by "upgraded directly," do you mean that you used the migration module, or a physical update of files? BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
Thanks Magnussoft for the reply. I used the migration module only. I am not sure which directory the files go to.. Can you tell me where to check for them plz? |
Thanks Magnussoft for the reply. I used the migration module only. I am not sure which directory the files go to.. Can you tell me where to check for them plz? I believe they would be located in /modules/boonex/photos/data/files/. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
Well there are a lot of files in there but non of the names are matching with the names of the older group files. So shall I simply copy those old files and thumbnails in this folder? |

I don't really know how the migration process works, so I don't know how exactly things are transferred. Give that a try, empty your cache directories, and see if it works. Well its not working.. You or anybody has any other solution to this problem? |
I checked and found that there are no table entries for the old pics in the group photo tables. Can anybody help me with this plz? |
Photo migration for groups does not work. There are also many other issues with migration tool... * Links are not converted to Sites Plus some other stuff... Additionally the migration changes the site URL's which means that you will lose any SEO rankings you may have gained. Boonex have some mod rewrite rules to fix some of the URLs with a permanent redirect, but not all as some are unfixable by this method. HTH /DM Dolphin - Ajax Masturbation |

Hey DeeEmm thanks for the reply, you have solution for this? Can you suggest anyway to get the group pics visibility back? |
Hey DeeEmm thanks for the reply, you have solution for this? Can you suggest anyway to get the group pics visibility back? Sorry, I do not have a ready solution. On my site I manually uploaded the images as there were not that many. /DM Dolphin - Ajax Masturbation |
Ok no problem, plz tell me the manual way. I will do it for all my files, no problem. For the files & sql tables also. Thanks in advance. |
Ok no problem, plz tell me the manual way. I will do it for all my files, no problem. For the files & sql tables also. Thanks in advance. Just upload the photos as normal using the 'upload photo' feature for the group. You will obviously need to have the relevant access to do this (group fan / admin - depending on group settings). Sorry that I do not have an easier solution for this. HTH /DM Dolphin - Ajax Masturbation |
