PLEASE HELP HOW TO BAN SOMEONE?

I have a Dolphin 7.0 Website and there is someone who keeps joining and Putting Spam On My site. They also use False e-mails and I have it set for e-mail conformation and somehow this Person keeps coming back,i even banned them and they  still come back!  What do I do? How do You Ban someone for Good?

Go to your Admin Pannel

Click Tools.

Then click IP Blacklist.

Their IP should show up under "From" (Right bellow "Stored Logged Members IPs" and across from their username)

Copy paste IP into "From" and "To" fields above.

Set Date to what ever you like.

Then switch IP role to deny

And add a discription

This should help ... as long as they aren't using a proxy.

If you're talking about the spammers with the Prada purses and other assorted Chinese merchandise they use a different IP each time so you can't really block them that way (unless you block all of Asia). You can search the forum for different tips and techniques on how to slow them down.  If you're on a VPS or dedicated server you can install mod_security and block them that way. If not you can change the join form to block all those Asian email hosts (like @163.com etc).

Also go to Admin/Tools/Antispam tools and activate the DNS blocklist cn.countries.nerd.dk

Also use the mod http://www.boonex.com/m/Join_by_country and allow only peoples from your country to join

Use cloudflare and block china or you can leave it, it will automatically block much spammer.

Its very easy to do and works great.
