Pages don't load in new install

installation went fine but only a few pages load. this is the second install with same resutls. installs were fresh, meaning i deleted all dir/files and uploaded again. initially there was a problem with the mb_string extension but host told me that it was fixed. i searched in the "installation problems threads" but non reference to this problem. i was wondering if some one can tell me what is wrong with the installation and what should i do. thanks for the help.

Need  a little more info here Flipper.  Are you getting errors?  Is it coming up when you go to yoursite.com/install ?  Has the basic install been completed & the install directory removed?  This can be a lot of things.  Who is the host?
