Password retrieve emails not sending

Hi,

When I try to retrieve a forgotten password, I get the following error message from the site:

Also I get the following error at the top of the website:

Check the utils.inc.php and design.inc.php file for any additional "white space" lines before or after the opening and closing tags.

I opened the utils.inc file in wordpad and I could see all php codes in a single endless line! How can I restore it?

I have no recent backups!
