PayPal Setup issues - Help!

Need a little help.  Trying to setup paypal and it is half working.  I am actually receiving the payments, but the customer is not getting any kind of notification and it does not look like Dolphin is aware of the payment either because nothing changes for the user's account.  I have had the same results regardless of whether I use IPN or PDT.

I could not find anything that clearly explained how to setup IPN, so I am not sure if my settings are correct.  I think they are, but not sure.

I suspect the problem has to do with the data return page in Dolphin.  At the bottom of the page where one sets up PayPal in the Payments module, there is a URL (http://www.spkcom.com/m/payment/act_finalize_checkout/paypal/0) for Data Returns.  I used this URL in PayPal for setting up the IPN.

When the transaction goes through, it redirects to http://www.spkcom.com/m/point/paypal_process which ultimately yields a blank page.  I can surf to http://www.spkcom.com/m/payment/act_finalize_checkout/paypal/0 and that will show what looks like what should be the target page - only there is no data (it literally says "No Data Given".   Nothing on the site (user account or admin account) indicates that a transaction took place.

I cannot actually locate the page on the site (either in the admin module or one server) because the path does not appear to exist.  Iam guessing I need to configure something, but I have no idea what or how.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

J

Checkout this page: http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/wiki/DolPaymentMod

There are none so blind as those that will not see.

Stuart038,

Thanks for the quick response.  I actually followed that page to set it up and still have issues.  The problem seems to be with the redirect because I get paid.  The customer goes through the entire payment process fine, but they do not get successfully redirected back to my site.   I see my domain name in the URL (along with a bunch of other things) after processing the payment through Paypal, but this is where it breaks. It does not look like the information is actually getting passed back to the site.

This might be related to a particular module I bought.  I have since had success with the regular Dolphin membership
